Skim and scam: South Florida couple accused of sophisticated ATM fraud plot with stolen card data
A South Florida couple, Norvys Colmenares Zambrano and Janckeily Guerra Machado, are accused of using ATM skimmers to steal bank account data and make unauthorized withdrawals. Police found a card skimming device, 143 credit/gift/prepaid cards (including 132 re-encoded), and a pinhole camera in their apartment. Both are Venezuelan nationals who entered the U.S. illegally and were taken into custody on multiple charges.
