Mamdani’s declaration that he has no authority to arrest Netanyahu rankles both Jewish and pro-Palestine New Yorkers

Mayor Zohran Mamdani stated he lacks authority to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu despite an International Criminal Court warrant. Pro-Israel and pro-Palestine groups criticized Mamdani for not addressing Hamas's Oct. 7 attack in his statement.
