Albany audit finds $2.48 million in savings amid budget deficit
The city of Albany's Office of Audit and Control reported nearly $2.48 million in savings during the first six months of 2026. City Auditor Sam Fein attributed the savings to errors, duplicate invoices, and incorrect payments and charges.
