Congo's Ebola outbreak has killed 999 people out of 2,473 recorded cases as of Sunday, making it the fastest Ebola outbreak in history. The Bundibugyo virus, which has no approved vaccines or treatments, is spreading more rapidly than previous outbreaks, including the 2013-2016 epidemic that took eight months to reach 1,000 deaths.
