Mamdani says New York City can't arrest Netanyahu for war crimes but federal government should

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani stated his administration cannot legally arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for war crimes and urged federal authorities to take action. Mamdani had previously considered enforcing an International Criminal Court arrest warrant against Netanyahu if he attended the UN General Assembly in September.
