Firearms manufacturer shoots back over AR-15 parody products
Firearms manufacturer Q, LLC countersued North Carolina gun store Bad Attitude Department LLC over parody AR-15 receivers featuring a cat graphic and 'NOT FRIENDLY DO NOT PET' engraving, alleging trademark infringement and unfair competition under the Lanham Act. Bad Attitude claims the products parody Q's founder and are clearly labeled as such, but Q argues the design causes consumer confusion and dilutes its trademark.
