Man tossed by Yellowstone bison says hitting the ground was the worst part

Carl McDaniel, 65, was attacked and tossed by a bison in Yellowstone's Bridge Bay Campground, suffering multiple bone fractures. The bison, which can run up to 35 mph, attacked without clear aggression until targeting him. Yellowstone reports several bison attacks annually, including at least two in 2025.
