Banning Lewis Ranch development plan could reshape Colorado Springs' eastern growth corridor

Colorado Springs' Planning Commission approved a rezoning plan for Banning Lewis Ranch, shifting from high-density residential to medium-density mixed-use development, including housing and retail across 1,100 acres. The plan, covering two adjacent areas (Village B2 and Village C), aims to extend the city's eastern growth toward Falcon and Peyton. Developer Oakwood Homes of Colorado Springs, a subsidiary of Clayton Proper, proposed the project.
