Lake St. Clair algae muck pilot program to launch this fall at shoreline locations

A three-year pilot program will begin removing algae muck from Lake St. Clair shorelines in Harrison Township and St. Clair Shores this fall, funded by nearly $900,000 in state funds. The initiative aims to study the lake bed and explore long-term solutions for Microseira wollei muck, which has caused beach closures, foul odors, and limited water access for residents.
