Tropical Storm Fausto forms off Mexico’s Pacific as tropical depression swirls in Gulf of Mexico

Tropical Storm Fausto formed off Mexico’s southwest Pacific coast and is expected to strengthen into a hurricane, while a tropical depression in the Gulf of Mexico south of the Florida Panhandle threatens to become a named storm. The Gulf system could bring heavy rainfall to northern Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, and Texas as it moves westward.
