Tropical Depression 2 forms in northern Gulf, threatens Florida panhandle

Tropical Depression 2 has formed in the northern Gulf of Mexico and is moving west-northwest at 14 mph. The system is expected to strengthen into a tropical storm today and potentially a hurricane by Monday, with a Tropical Storm Watch issued for Florida from Ochlockonee River to the Alabama border. The storm is named Bertha.
