Bystander shot and killed on bus was on way to doctor’s appointment, family says
Rashad Rice, 52, was shot and killed on a Missouri bus on July 10 while en route to a doctor’s appointment. Police identified him as a bystander shot in the back of the head during an incident involving two fatalities; 20-year-old Christopher Irving was arrested. Rice’s family described him as conflict-avoidant and raised funds for funeral costs and travel for his 16-year-old son in Africa.
