Troopers use ‘boxing’ tactic to stop runaway electric vehicle on highway

Nevada State Police and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police coordinated a 'boxing' tactic to stop a runaway electric vehicle accelerating uncontrollably on the 215 Beltway. The vehicle, traveling up to 90 mph with non-responsive brakes, was brought to a controlled stop near Ann Road, resulting in no injuries. The driver was hospitalized as a precaution.
