Soldier, partner accused of starving baby and dog to death

A Fort Benning soldier and his girlfriend face life in prison after a federal indictment alleges they starved their infant son and a family pet to death. The couple is also accused of lying to investigators and committing animal abuse, with three dogs found severely malnourished or dead.
