Beloved Nashville church site reduced to rubble in 2020 tornado could see new life under councilman’s new proposal
Metro Councilman Jordan Huffman proposed redeveloping the site of Dodson Chapel United Methodist Church, destroyed in a March 2020 tornado, into a landscaped memorial with the church’s original bell. The proposal includes a berm with native plants, a memorial, and protections against mining, to be reviewed by the Metro Planning Commission on August 20.
