Trump’s end of TPS threatens status of Miami residents who identify as Haitian American
Miami residents who identify as Haitian American are affected by the end of Temporary Protected Status (TPS), which the Trump administration sought to terminate. A 26-year-old resident, Corrine, who moved to Miami from Haiti in 2010, expressed fear and uncertainty about her future as conditions in Haiti remain dangerous. The Supreme Court allowed the TPS termination in late June, but litigation delayed its effective date.
