Nursing home worker accused of slapping patient, causing them to fall out of wheelchair

Desiree Heater, a nursing home worker in West Virginia, was arrested and charged with abuse or neglect of an incapacitated adult after allegedly slapping a patient and causing them to fall out of a wheelchair. Security footage showed the incident at St. Barbara’s Nursing Home, leading to the patient being hospitalized and Heater being booked into jail.
