Nursing home worker accused of slapping patient, causing them to fall out of wheelchair

Desiree Heater, a nursing home worker in West Virginia, was arrested for allegedly slapping a patient and causing them to fall from a wheelchair. Security footage from St. Barbara’s Nursing Home showed the incident, leading to charges of abuse or neglect of an incapacitated adult. The patient was hospitalized following the alleged assault.
