Over half of tested reading specs fail to list key details to prevent eye strain
Hong Kong’s Consumer Council found that over half of 17 tested ready-to-wear reading glasses failed to label pupillary distance, a critical detail for aligning lenses to reduce eye strain. The glasses, priced between HK$8 and HK$490, all claimed a presbyopia correction of +2.5 dioptres.
