The approval we imagine

Pakistan's female labor force participation remains extremely low despite rising education levels, urbanization, and declining fertility. A study of 8,000 low-income individuals in three cities found 71% of women personally approve of working outside the home, but only 18% are employed, suggesting perceived community disapproval hinders participation.
