Poll: How Michigan Democratic voters feel about U.S. Senate, House leaders
A poll of Michigan Democratic voters in the 2026 primary revealed mixed support for current Democratic leaders. Most voters (65%) preferred a new Senate leader over Chuck Schumer, while a majority (57.6%) wanted reduced influence for the Uncommitted movement leaders. Support for Hakeem Jeffries as House leader was higher (42.2%) compared to calls for a new leader (32.5%).
