Venezuela names its envoy to Washington as foreign minister in cabinet reshuffle
Venezuela's acting president, Delcy Rodríguez, appointed diplomat Félix Plasencia to lead a new Ministry of Foreign Relations and Trade, merging diplomatic and foreign trade roles. Plasencia, previously Venezuela's chief of mission in the United States, replaces Yvan Gil, who shifts to the Ministry of Science and Technology.
