UK says an Iran-backed group was behind attacks on Jewish community, bans Revolutionary Guard

The UK government accuses an Iran-backed group, Islamic Movement of the Companions of the Right (IMCR), of orchestrating arson and vandalism attacks on Jewish sites, including synagogues and charity ambulances. It has banned IMCR and Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, with sabotage linked to these groups now punishable by life imprisonment. The UK also designated Russia’s GRU Volunteer Corps as a national security threat.
