70 students return home after being stranded in Afghanistan
Around 70 medical students stranded in Afghanistan returned to Pakistan after border restrictions were temporarily lifted following intervention by local political leaders, including Sherin Khan Afridi of the Awami National Party. The students had been unable to cross the Torkham border due to pedestrian movement restrictions in place since October 2025.
