Police to Target Distracted Drivers in Friday Enforcement Operation

The Pasadena Police Department will conduct a special enforcement operation on July 10 targeting drivers violating California’s hands-free cell phone law by holding or using phones while driving. Officers will enforce Vehicle Code Section 23123, which prohibits holding phones for communication or app use, allowing only hands-free operation.
