Israeli army says it killed Hamas commander in Gaza strike
The Israeli army claimed to have killed Hamas commander Yahya Saeed Muhammad Hamdan in a strike on southern Gaza. Hamdan, head of the Qassam Brigades Nukhba Forces unit, was allegedly involved in the 7 October 2023 attacks on Israel. Hamas has not yet commented on the report but confirmed its spokesperson Hazem Qassem survived an Israeli attack west of Gaza City.
