Lethal dose of Benadryl found in 12-year-old’s system after her death, warrants show

A 12-year-old Connecticut girl, Eve Rogers, was found dead with a lethal dose of diphenhydramine (Benadryl) in her system. Toxicology results showed 23,000 ng/ml of the drug, far exceeding lethal thresholds for children and adults. Prozac (fluoxetine) was also detected in her system despite not being prescribed, and a nearly empty bottle of diphenhydramine was found in her home.
