India blocks Telegram before retest exam to curb cheating

India blocked access to Telegram ahead of a retest for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) to prevent cheating after a question paper leak. The National Testing Agency cited organized use of the platform by cheating networks, while Telegram's CEO criticized the ban as disproportionate, claiming leaks shifted to other apps.
