Beagle breeding farm to shutter for good after rescue group buys nearly 1,500 dogs following violent protests where cops teared gassed activists

A Wisconsin beagle breeding farm, Ridglan Farms, is closing permanently after a Florida rescue group, Big Dog Ranch Rescue, purchased nearly 1,500 dogs. The remaining 475 beagles will be transferred to rescue campuses by August, following violent protests where police used tear gas against activists attempting to free the dogs.
