22-year-old sentenced for murder of Charlotte teen
A 22-year-old man was sentenced to 157-201 months in prison for second-degree murder after a 2023 shooting in north Charlotte that killed Ja’Kez Kyiesh Johnson. The suspect, Emanuel Isaac Parada, was also charged with drug possession and a stolen firearm. Police had arrested Parada and an unidentified 15-year-old in the case.
