Volunteer firefighter arrested after injuring woman in crash while responding to emergency, police say
A 20-year-old volunteer firefighter, Andrew Hayward, was arrested after crashing his vehicle while responding to an emergency in Newbury, Vermont. The crash occurred when Hayward failed to stop at a stop sign, injuring a 53-year-old woman. He faces charges of negligent operation and is scheduled for a court appearance in August.
