Hit-and-run suspect who injured deputy in Fort Lauderdale arrested, BSO says

Sean Alexis, 40, was arrested after a hit-and-run crash that injured a Broward Sheriff’s Office deputy near Fort Lauderdale on Friday. The deputy suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized. Alexis faces charges for failing to stop at the scene of the collision.
