Tranexamic Acid Makes Noncardiac Surgery Safer
A hospital policy of administering tranexamic acid to high transfusion-risk patients during noncardiac surgery reduced blood transfusions without increasing thromboembolic risk, according to the TRACTION randomized trial. The study showed the treatment's effectiveness in improving surgical outcomes.
