Baricitinib (Olumiant) failed to demonstrate noninferiority to tumor necrosis factor (TNF) inhibitors for venous thromboembolism (VTE) risk in FDA-required postmarketing studies, according to a researcher. The analysis found an increased VTE risk associated with the drug compared to TNF inhibitors.
