New York is now requiring ads with AI-generated people to disclose they aren't real

New York has enacted the first-in-the-nation law requiring advertisements featuring AI-generated people to disclose they are not real. The law, signed in December, imposes fines of up to $5,000 for ads that fail to flag AI-generated individuals.
