SC overturns convictions of two MQM workers in Karachi’s Baldia factory fire case

The Supreme Court overturned the death sentences of Abdul Rehman Bhola and Zubair Chariya, two MQM workers convicted in the 2012 Baldia factory fire case. The court granted them the benefit of the doubt, nullifying prior rulings by an anti-terrorism court and the Sindh High Court that upheld the death penalty for their alleged involvement in murder, extortion, arson, and terrorism.
