Ukraine lined its roads with enough anti-drone netting this year to cover the length of Florida

Ukraine has installed over 510 miles of anti-drone netting on its roads this year, exceeding Florida's north-south length. The nets, made from repurposed farming or fishing mesh, are used to entangle small attack drones and protect logistics routes near the front. Both Ukraine and Russia deploy the netting, with Ukraine increasing daily installation rates from 2.4 to 5.2 miles since 2025.
