CATL's new LFP battery can charge from 10 to 98% in less than 7 minutes

CATL unveiled its third-generation Shenxing lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) battery, capable of charging from 10% to 98% in under 7 minutes, positioning it as a competitor to BYD's Blade Battery 2.0. The battery addresses EV charging speed limitations, outperforming 800V nickel manganese cobalt systems from Hyundai and Porsche by nearly five times.
