Hinson, Turek set to vie for Ernst Senate seat in Iowa
Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-Iowa) and state Rep. Josh Turek (D) are set to compete for the Senate seat held by retiring Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) this fall. Hinson won the GOP nomination by defeating former state Rep. Jim Carlin (R). Turek, a Paralympic gold medalist, is the Democratic candidate.
