Ex-Iowa schools chief gets 2-year sentence on immigration, gun charges

Ian Roberts, a former schools superintendent in Des Moines, Iowa, was sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to charges of falsely claiming citizenship and illegally possessing a firearm. He had led a school district serving over 30,000 students from 2023 until his sentencing.
