Labour to expand youth work experience and training schemes
The UK government, led by Labour, is expanding youth work experience and training schemes to address a 'quiet crisis' in youth employment, following warnings from former minister Alan Milburn about the high cost of benefits versus job training. Work and Pensions Secretary Pat McFadden announced plans for 300,000 additional placements over three years.
