STAT+: European Union inks a draft deal to boost local production of medicines and avoid shortages

The European Union has reached a provisional deal to boost local production of essential medicines and reduce reliance on imports. The Critical Medicines Act aims to avoid drug shortages by strengthening supply chains for over 200 critical medicines.
