Official leading CDC’s cruise ship program retires

Luis Rodríguez, the top US official responsible for public health on cruise ships, is retiring from his position as chief of the Vessel Sanitation Program at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He has been part of the program since 2010 and served as its chief since 2023. The retirement was announced internally at the CDC.
