Louisiana House candidate sues over suspended primary

Louisiana congressional candidate Lindsay Garcia (D) sued Gov. Jeff Landry (R) to block the suspension of the state’s House primary elections. The lawsuit follows a Supreme Court ruling that the state’s second majority-Black congressional district was an unconstitutional gerrymander. Garcia and voter Eugene Collins argue the elections were already in progress.
