Michigan gubernatorial candidates announce running mates

Democratic gubernatorial nominee Jocelyn Benson has selected state Senate Majority Leader Winnie Brinks as her running mate for lieutenant governor, while Republican nominee John James simultaneously announced state Rep. Jay DeBoyer as his running mate. Both tickets are now set for the 2026 Michigan governor's race.
