Preserving ancient texts and manuscripts

Institutions across the United States are focused on conserving rare historical documents, including Shakespeare folios at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington DC and ancient papyrus manuscripts through specialized training programs. The Papyrus Conservation Summer Seminar at the University of Michigan teaches scholars advanced preservation techniques for fragile ancient texts.
