Ridge Fire closes 5 Freeway near Gorman

A fast-moving brush fire named the Ridge Fire erupted near the Los Angeles-Kern County line in Gorman, growing to between 100 and 1,057 acres and prompting evacuation orders across both counties. The fire caused a temporary closure of the 5 Freeway at the county line.
