Apple challenges UK encrypted data backdoor demand

Apple has filed a legal challenge through the Investigatory Powers Tribunal against a UK government demand for backdoor access to encrypted iCloud data belonging to British users. This marks a renewal of similar requests the Home Office had previously abandoned approximately one year ago.
