Georgia girl dies from tonsillectomy complications

Emersyn 'Emmy' Bridgers, a 6-year-old Georgia girl, died from complications following a routine tonsillectomy procedure days before she was scheduled to start first grade. She was remembered by her school community as a kind and inclusive student.
