Charlotte murder suspect flees court, has prior convictions

David Simpson, a 29-year-old with a prior deadly shooting conviction, was charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder after allegedly shooting two men at a Charlotte apartment complex hours after his release on bond. Simpson refused to appear in court and his girlfriend, Shameka Scott, was charged as an accessory for aiding his escape.
